How to Begin

  1. Contact us via appointments@dayspringranch.life or 541-839-2220.
  2. We will respond and work with you to find a date and time for phone or video consultation.
  3. A consultation is typically 15-20 minutes. It's a space where you briefly describe your therapuetic needs and we present the options we have available.
  4. After that meeting there is no obligation.
  5. If we agree to enter a counseling relationship then you counselor will contact you to schedule a time.

Hours of Operation

Services are offered 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

About Mark Merrick

Licensed Marriage Family Therapist / Spiritual Counselor

Mark is a counselor (LMFT) and the Clinical Director at Dayspring Ranch, licensed in Oregon and California.  He works with adults, couples, and teens in traditional therapy, spiritual counsel and equine (horse) assisted therapy.  He has a background working with veterans and members of the clergy including pastors, missionaries, and lay ministers.  Mark has decades of experience in leadership, church settings, and public speaking.  His interests beyond psychology include music and theology.

About Jennifer Merrick

Pastoral Counselor

Jennifer spent 18 years teaching math at the high school and junior high level in Orange County California. After moving to Oregon she became certified as an equine specialist in EAGALA and thereafter began offering equine assisted therapy services with her husband Mark. She also assumed the position of President of Flaming Arrow Ministries, a 501(c)(3) established by her mother to serve ministers and the surrounding community. In 2020 she became an ordained minister and has since offered pastoral counseling with a focus on grief. Jennifer lost her mother to cancer in 2010 and has developed a passion to help the many people in our community who have lost significant loved ones. She highly recommends Kenneth Haugk’s book series on grief, A Time to Grieve.
