The nature of YHWH is revealed in Yeshua. The book Revelation and the word “apocalypse”, which we typically view in a negative light, is actually not negative at all. “Apocalypse” means unveiling, revealing, aka revelation, and it’s the revelation of none other than Jesus, who is the exact representation of the Father in heaven.
Through the gospels and revelation we learn that Jesus is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love, forgiving, righteous in his judgements, not interested in condemnation, full of love, and much much more. He embodies all of these attributes in his ministry, his sacrifice of self, and his forgiveness of all (“Father forgive them, for they know now what they do.”)
Jesus is the nature of YHWH manifested to the world. He is righteous and true, but also the friend of sinners, one who sees the spark of God in every human and knows that love is required to draw it out. So, Jesus came not only to reveal the Father, but to also reveal us.
“By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, we also are in this world” (1Jo 4:17).
If you have been struggling with spiritual pain, anxiety, and depression then it’s probably because bad religion has made it difficult for you to understand your true nature. You are forgiven. You are united with Jesus. You are a beloved son or daughter of the Loving Creator. And neither the Father nor Jesus have any interest in condemning you.
